A BROTHER'S CRY
A Brother's Cry by Ria Rosa Q, written on ??/??/01
Boromir, Boromir, what happened to thy horn?
I found it by the stream, and I was all forlorn.
And to our homeland, you were so near.
Can you hear your brother's cries, Boromir, Boromir?
Boromir, what happened to thy sword's blade?
I saw it not in your sword where it should have stayed.
Should I bring the hilt back to our father?
Or should I leave it by your side, dear brother?
Ah well, Boromir, what's that in your waist?
Who gave it? What is it? Oh let us make haste.
For it looks like a belt made out of leaves of gold.
Did you come to that place... Lothlorien it is called?
But now I must accept that you have come to your time,
Your brave deeds are beyond tales that rhyme.
And as I watched, the waves took you away,
To the sea, you now rest, to the end of the day.
